The name
Greek for action. For Aristotle, action that is its own end: acting well is already the result.
Aristotle split what we do into three kinds. Praks was born from the third.
Praks comes from praxis because that is what we believe: people should spend more time deciding, talking and taking care of what matters, and less time on tasks a machine can do.
For Aristotle, some things we do to reach something else. Others are worth doing for their own sake. Treating a client well, deciding honestly, keeping a promise: there is no deliverable at the end, the result is having acted well. That is praxis.
In practice, it becomes a few principles. Doing is worth more than talking about doing. The judgment of someone who knows the context is worth more than a rule applied on autopilot. And good work matters even when no one is watching.
Aristotle had a name for that judgment: phronesis, the practical wisdom of knowing what to do in each situation. It is not learned from a manual. It is learned by acting, getting it wrong and adjusting. That is why we believe in people close to decisions, and in technology that supports them without taking their place.
Aristotle called a flourishing life eudaimonia. It is not a prize that arrives at the end: it is built every day, by doing well what matters. And work fills a good part of those days.
In finance, we see the opposite. Much of the time goes to data fixes, reconciliation and manual processes. Little is left to analyze, decide and guide the company.
Praks exists to give that time back. AI agents take care of the manual work, with a person approving every result, and the team is free for what only people can do.

That is why the name Praks. It is what we argue in the thesis: less time on manual work, more time for what only people can do. And a reminder, for us and for everyone who works with us, that what matters is acting well.
